Destination Retreat

Due to the COVID outbreak & risks in Waco, and beyond, the Destination: Waco retreat has been Cancelled.  We hope to reschedule at a later date.  However, we don’t have enough information to set a date at this time.

Theme: Finding Freedom!

Referencing the life story of Author/Chef, Erin French, alongside biblical principles, we will consider the remaking of lives beyond (apparent) hope or help. A story of redemption!
Schedule: Begin Friday night at 6 PM – end Sunday morning by 10 AM.

Included In Cost:
  1. Accommodations for 2 overnight stays (Friday & Saturday).  We will stay in 3 beautiful, historic homes in Waco!  Pics of each will be added later.  
  2. Meals – Two dinner meals (Friday & Saturday) at Migel House Friday & Homestead Cafe’ Saturday; Two breakfast meals (Saturday & Sunday) at Magnolia Table Saturday morning & Migel House Sunday. 
  3. Registration and materials for two facilitated sessions, theme: “Finding Freedom”!
  4. Shuttle service in Waco for group events.
  5. Snacks, treats for breaks and evenings. 
Not Included:
  1. You will need to make your own transportation plans to and from Waco, TX. 
  2. Optional Saturday afternoon excursions. Read below for options.

Accommodations for Waco, Texas
 
SCHEDULE: We begin Friday at 6 pm conclude Sunday at 10 am.
Friday:
If your time permits, allow 1 hour between 9 am – 5 pm for a self-guided tour of the Armstrong Browning Library https://www.baylor.edu/library/index.php?id=973825  (Distinguished poets Robert and Elizabeth Browning, among other valuable European artifacts)
6 pm – 9:45 pm – Gather at Migel House for Dinner, followed by Evening Session and dessert.
9:45 pm – Linger at Migel House, or go to private accommodations for the night.
Saturday:
9 am – Gather at Magnolia Table  https://magnolia.com/table/ for breakfast.
10 am – 1 pm (shorter or longer as you choose)  Shuttle & Shop between Magnolia shops and Silo https://magnolia.com/silos/https://magnolia.com/silo-district-trolley/.
Afternoon – Book OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS (not included in Registration, book individually, see options below); or relax at your historic home.
5:45 pm – Gather at Homestead Cafe dinner (shuttle transportation provided) https://www.cafehomestead.com/
7:30 pm to 9:45 pm – Evening Session, and dessert/treat, at Migel House.
9:45 pm Linger at Migel for bowling match and/or conversation afterwards.  Or return to private accommodations for the night.
Sunday:
8:30 am – 10 am – Gather at Migel House for Breakfast and final Send-Off.
10 am – Return to private accommodations to pack for later departure; or leave for Airport.
